How to get kids to do boring (but necessary) tasks

Christine Carter, Ph.D. has written a great article on how to get kids to do boring jobs. Here is an excerpt from her article – “Here is the great thing: research shows that when we encourage kids to do a blindingly boring task with empathy, rationale, and non-controlling language, they feel happier when they are performing the task than they would if we’d offered them a material reward”.
